The Parrot House

— Gili Meno

A Little World Behind the Garden Gate

A character-filled three-bedroom island house where washed walls, colourful textiles, handcrafted details and a traditional Lombok bungalow surround a private pool, hidden in a sandy garden just moments from the sea.

The Charm of Island Seclusion

— A private Gili Meno hideaway shaped by colour

Parrot House reveals itself slowly. Beyond its carved wooden entrance is a private sandy garden, where tropical greenery, a freshwater swimming pool and shaded outdoor spaces create a world that feels comfortably removed from everything else.

The beach is only a short walk away, but there is something especially inviting about coming back here. It feels intimate and personal, with just enough colour, texture and imperfection to give the house a character of its own.

Rustic Character, Island Ease

Parrot House blends the simplicity of island living with details that feel collected and handcrafted rather than overly designed.

Inside the main house, washed walls, colourful carpets and natural textures bring warmth to the living and dining spaces. Two air-conditioned bedrooms sit within the house, each with its own private bathroom and small terrace.

Across the garden, a wooden deck leads to the third bedroom, housed separately in a traditional Lombok-style bungalow built from timber and bamboo. The separation creates a quiet private retreat while still keeping everyone close to the pool and the heart of the house.

Outside, much of life naturally moves into the garden. An outdoor shower sits beside the pool, while a bale with a long dining table creates a shaded place for slow breakfasts, relaxed lunches and evenings spent together. It is comfortable without being formal, colourful without being loud, and private without feeling cut off from the island.

Parrot House is less about escaping Gili Meno and more about finding your own quiet corner within it.

Just a short walk from Gili Meno’s white sand beaches, Parrot House is tucked behind a carved wooden gate. Step through the entrance onto a private patio, then into your own sandy garden with a swimming pool, outdoor shower, and shaded bale with a long dining table for open-air meals. Designed for privacy and ease, it is a place to fully unwind.
