Rent The Round House Lombok for a Group Vacation: Your Guide to Simple Luxury
When the bustling streets of Seminyak begin to feel a little too familiar, the call of the wild becomes impossible to ignore. For those currently enjoying the vibrant energy of Bali, there is a secret waiting just across the water. Imagine a place where time slows down. Picture a sanctuary designed for connection, laughter, and the kind of simple luxury that stays with you long after you leave. If you are planning a getaway with your favorite people, you should rent The Round House Lombok for a group vacation.
This is not just another villa; it is a masterpiece of “The Island Houses” collection. It is a portal to a simpler, more beautiful way of living. In this guide, we will explore why this unique destination is the ultimate choice for your next group escape.
Why Rent The Round House Lombok for a Group Vacation?
Choosing the right accommodation can make or break a group trip. You need space to gather, yet you also crave corners for quiet reflection. The Round House offers exactly that balance.
A Unique Architectural Masterpiece
The first thing you notice about The Round House is its soul. Most modern villas feel like concrete boxes. In contrast, The Round House celebrates curves and organic shapes. It draws inspiration from traditional Sasak architecture and the natural flow of the island. The high, soaring alang-alang thatched roofs create an incredible sense of space. Under these roofs, the air stays cool, and the atmosphere feels instantly relaxed.
The Luxury of Simple Living
In Bali, luxury often means gold taps and marble floors. However, at The Island Houses, we believe in a different kind of prestige. We call it “simple luxury.” It is the feeling of high-quality linen against your skin. It is the joy of an outdoor shower under a canopy of stars. When you rent The Round House Lombok for a group vacation, you are choosing authenticity. The interiors feature curated vintage pieces, hand-carved wood, and natural textures. It is sophisticated yet unpretentious—a true “home away from home.”
Exceptional Locations: From Bali to the Shores of Lombok
Many tourists stay within the “Bali bubble” because it is easy. But the journey to Lombok is part of the magic. Lombok offers a raw, untouched beauty that Bali boasted decades ago.
Getting There is a Breeze
Traveling from Bali to Lombok is surprisingly simple. You can take a 30-minute flight from Denpasar to Lombok International Airport. Alternatively, a fast boat from Padang Bai or Sanur offers a scenic route across the Lombok Strait. Once you arrive, the chaos of the city vanishes. You are greeted by rolling hills, pristine bays, and a pace of life that respects the rhythm of nature.
The Heart of South Lombok
The Round House is situated in an exceptional location in South Lombok. This area is famous for its world-class surf breaks and hidden beaches. Unlike the crowded stretches of Kuta Bali, the beaches here are vast and quiet. You can spend your morning watching the buffalo wander across Selong Belanak Beach. By afternoon, you will be back in the privacy of your garden, sipping a fresh coconut.
Features Designed for Group Harmony
When you travel as a group, the layout of your home matters. The Round House was designed with “zoning” in mind. This ensures everyone has the space they need to thrive.
Spacious Living and Shared Moments
The heart of the property is the central living pavilion. This open-air space allows the sea breeze to circulate freely. It features a massive circular dining table, perfect for long, lazy breakfasts or festive dinners. Because the kitchen is fully equipped, your group can cook together or hire a local chef to prepare traditional Sasak feasts.
Private Sanctuaries within the House
Privacy is never sacrificed. The Round House typically features multiple bedrooms, each acting as a private sanctuary.
The Main Pavilion: Usually houses the primary suites with en-suite bathrooms.
The Guest Bungalows: Separate structures provide extra privacy for couples or friends who want a bit of distance from the main group.
Outdoor Bathrooms: Many rooms feature semi-open bathrooms. There is nothing quite like showering while looking up at the tropical palms.
The Tropical Garden and Private Pool
No group vacation is complete without a pool. The Round House features a stunning swimming pool lined with natural green stone. It is surrounded by a lush tropical garden that feels like a private jungle. There are plenty of reclining chairs and shaded daybeds. Whether you want to tan with a book or splash around with your friends, the outdoor space is your private playground.
Unforgettable Activities for Your Group
While it is tempting to never leave the villa, Lombok offers incredible adventures. When you rent The Round House Lombok for a group vacation, you have a base for exploration.
1. Surfing for All Levels
South Lombok is a surfer’s paradise. Selong Belanak is perfect for beginners, offering gentle waves and plenty of instructors. For the more experienced members of your group, the legendary “Desert Point” or the breaks at Gerupuk provide a thrilling challenge.
2. Island Hopping the “Secret Gilis”
Forget the crowded Gili Trawangan. From South Lombok, you can easily reach the “Secret Gilis” like Gili Kedis, Gili Nanggu, and Gili Tangkong. These tiny islands offer some of the best snorkeling in Indonesia. You can charter a local boat for the day and have an entire island to yourselves for a picnic lunch.
3. Cultural Immersion in Sasak Villages
Lombok is rich in culture. Visit the nearby village of Sade to see traditional weaving and learn about the Sasak people’s way of life. The craftsmanship is incredible, and it is a wonderful way to support the local community.
4. Chasing Waterfalls
If your group enjoys hiking, a trip to the foothills of Mount Rinjani is a must. The waterfalls of Tiu Kelep and Sendang Gile are breathtaking. The hike through the jungle is refreshing, and the cold mountain water is the perfect antidote to the tropical heat.

A Sustainable Escape
We value the environment. Our houses are built with sustainable materials where possible, and we encourage eco-friendly practices. By staying at The Round House, you are choosing a form of tourism that respects the island’s natural beauty and local traditions.
Planning Your Escape: Tips for Groups
To ensure your trip is perfect, keep these tips in mind:
Book in Advance: The Round House is a favorite for return guests. If you plan to rent The Round House Lombok for a group vacation during the peak season (July-August or December-January), book early.
Coordinate Transport: Arrange a group transfer from the airport. It is much easier than trying to find multiple taxis on arrival.
Dietary Preferences: If you plan to have a chef cook at the villa, let the staff know about any allergies or preferences in advance. The local markets are full of fresh seafood and tropical fruits!
Why Tourists in Bali are Moving to Lombok
Bali is wonderful, but it is becoming increasingly busy. Many tourists find that after a few days in Canggu or Ubud, they need a “vacation from their vacation.”
Lombok provides that escape. It offers the same tropical beauty but with a fraction of the traffic. It allows for a deeper connection with nature. When you rent The Round House Lombok for a group vacation, you get the best of both worlds: the high standards of a professional villa management team and the rugged, enchanting soul of Lombok.
A World Apart from Everyday Life
Imagine the sun setting over the Indian Ocean. Your group is gathered around the pool, music is playing softly in the background, and the smell of a charcoal BBQ fills the air. There are no emails, no traffic jams, and no schedules.
This is what it means to stay at The Round House. It is a place where memories are made. Whether you are celebrating a milestone birthday, a family reunion, or just the joy of being together, this house provides the perfect stage.
Final Thoughts on Your Lombok Adventure
Lombok is rising as the premier destination for those who seek “the real Indonesia.” It is wild, it is beautiful, and it is waiting for you. The Island Houses offers a piece of paradise that is rare to find.
By choosing to rent The Round House Lombok for a group vacation, you are not just booking a room. You are booking a collection of moments. You are choosing to wake up to the sound of birds, to breathe in the salt air, and to live, if only for a week, in a world where luxury is defined by simplicity and soul.
Don’t let your Bali trip end without seeing the other side of the horizon. Pack your bags, gather your tribe, and discover why The Round House is the ultimate island home.
